In East China, the main ex-factory price ranged from 6,800 to 6,900 yuan, with the high end dropping by 300 yuan compared to the previous weekend. In North China, the range was 6,700–6,850 yuan, while Central China saw prices at 6,550–6,850 yuan, with the lower end down by 100 yuan. South China's prices were 6,800–6,850 yuan, with the high end down by 50 yuan. In Northeast China, the range was 6,300–6,700 yuan, declining by 100–300 yuan. Northwest China saw a drop of 100–150 yuan, with prices at 6,300–6,550 yuan. Looking ahead, external factors such as hurricane-related disruptions have caused a sharp rise in imported toluene prices, creating a strong pull on domestic prices. With the National Day holiday approaching, suppliers are lowering their quotes to expedite shipments, widening the gap between domestic and international markets. This has provided support for current prices, although the long holiday is expected to bring a wait-and-see attitude among traders. Reduced transaction volumes may put some pressure on the market. Meanwhile, the xylene market remained relatively stable last week. Prices started weak, with buyers waiting for further declines, but then fluctuated upwards before weakening toward the weekend. In East China, xylene prices stood at 7,100–7,200 yuan, up 100 yuan from the previous week. In South China, prices were 7,300–7,400 yuan, but fell by 150–200 yuan. Domestic xylene ex-factory prices also declined during the week. In East China, the main range was 6,900–7,050 yuan, with the low end dropping by 150–300 yuan. Central China remained stable at 6,750–6,850 yuan. North China saw prices between 6,200–7,150 yuan, unchanged. South China’s range was 6,950–7,050 yuan, while the Northeast averaged 6,400–7,100 yuan, with the high end down by 200 yuan. Northwest China’s prices were 6,500–6,600 yuan, with the high end also down by 200 yuan. Looking forward, the xylene market is influenced by supply and transaction dynamics. The external xylene market showed limited volatility, contributing to a more stable domestic outlook. As suppliers reduced quotes and accelerated shipments, inventory levels decreased, offering some support to future prices. However, the approaching holiday period is likely to increase caution among traders. If downstream demand weakens, transactions may slow, putting downward pressure on prices.
