New area ambulance updates

From Fire Service, Inc.: The Westchester Fire Department recently placed an order for a new Wheeled Coach medium-duty ambulance. This unit will be built on a 2014 Freightliner chassis, ensuring durability and performance for emergency response operations. Leyden Fire Protection District received a brand-new Wheeled Coach Type III ambulance, marking an important upgrade to their fleet. The vehicle is equipped with the latest medical equipment and safety features to better serve the community.

The North Aurora Fire Protection District has ordered a new Wheeled Coach Type I ambulance, which will be built on a Ford F450 4×4 chassis. The unit is expected to arrive in November, enhancing their ability to respond to emergencies across the district. Bensenville Fire Protection District recently took delivery of a 2011 Wheeled Coach Type I ambulance that had previously been used as a demo unit by Fire Service, Inc. This acquisition allows them to expand their fleet without the need for a brand-new model. Chicago Ridge Fire Department has ordered a 2014 Road Rescue medium-duty ambulance, featuring a TerraStarc chassis. This new unit will support their emergency medical services with improved reliability and efficiency. Beecher Fire Protection District also placed an order for a new Road Rescue Type 3 ambulance, designed for advanced life support and patient transport. Schererville Fire Department recently received a new Road Rescue ambulance, further strengthening their emergency response capabilities.
