On September 19, the China Petroleum and Chemicals Survey and Design Association, in collaboration with the China Chemical Engineering Professional Committee of the Engineering Consulting Association, officially announced the results of the 2005 Outstanding Engineering Consultation Achievement Awards in the chemical industry. A total of 28 engineering consulting projects were recognized for their outstanding contributions and innovative approaches.
Among the winners, five projects received the first prize. These included the "Petrochemical Development Plan for the Xinjiang Autonomous Region (2004–2010)" prepared by the Petroleum and Chemical Industry Planning Institute (Sinochem International Consulting Company), the Environmental Impact Report for the Direct Liquefaction Project of Shenhua Group Co., Ltd., the feasibility study for a 50,000-ton/year toluene diisocyanate (TDI) project by Cangzhou Dahua TDI Co., Ltd., the feasibility study for a 30,000-ton/year high-pressure melamine plant at Urumqi Petrochemical Plant by Donghua Engineering Technology Co., Ltd., and the pre-feasibility study report for the CNOOC degradable carbon dioxide project by China Ryukyu Engineering Company.
Nine projects were awarded the second prize, including the financial evaluation parameter estimation study for a chemical industry construction project by the Petroleum and Chemical Industry Planning Institute, the adjustment plan for raw materials and power structure in the nitrogen fertilizer industry, and the feasibility study for a 20,000-ton/year maleic anhydride project using the n-butane method by Tianjin Chemical Engineering Design Institute.
Fourteen projects received the third prize, such as the feasibility study for a 1.2 million-ton/year ammonium phosphate project at Yunnan Sanhuan Chemical Co., Ltd. by Beijing Chemical Engineering Design Institute, among others.
These awards highlight the continued growth and innovation within China's chemical engineering sector, recognizing the efforts of professionals who contribute to sustainable development and industrial advancement.
