New area ambulance updates

Several local fire departments have recently received new emergency response vehicles from Fire Service, Inc., enhancing their capabilities and ensuring continued service to the communities they protect.

  • The Westchester Fire Department has placed an order for a new Wheeled Coach medium-duty ambulance, built on a 2014 Freightliner chassis. This unit is expected to arrive soon and will be a valuable addition to the department’s fleet.
  • Leyden Fire Protection District recently took delivery of a brand-new Wheeled Coach Type III ambulance, marking an important upgrade in their emergency medical services. A photo of the new unit is available below.

  • The North Aurora Fire Protection District has ordered a new Wheeled Coach Type I ambulance equipped with a Ford F450 4×4 chassis. The unit is scheduled for delivery in November, providing the department with a reliable and durable vehicle for emergency response.
  • The Bensenville Fire Protection District recently received a 2011 Wheeled Coach Type I ambulance that had previously served as a demo unit for Fire Service, Inc. This acquisition helps them expand their fleet without the need for a brand-new purchase.
  • The Chicago Ridge Fire Department has ordered a 2014 Road Rescue medium-duty ambulance, built on a TerraStar chassis. This model is known for its durability and performance in various conditions.
  • The Beecher Fire Protection District has also placed an order for a new Road Rescue Type 3 ambulance, further strengthening their emergency response capabilities.
  • The Schererville Fire Department recently took delivery of a new Road Rescue ambulance, which will support their ongoing efforts to provide fast and effective emergency care to residents.
