"Research on the 160M3 Large-Scale Inflatable Mechanical Agitation Flotation Machine" is a key component of the National Science and Technology Research Program under the Ministry of Science and Technology. After years of dedicated research and development, the Beijing Mining and Metallurgical Research Institute in collaboration with Jinchuan Group Co., Ltd. has successfully developed this advanced flotation machine and completed its industrial application testing.
Recently, the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association organized a technical appraisal for the project. Experts carefully reviewed the technical documents, listened to detailed reports, and engaged in thorough discussions. Following the evaluation, the appraisal committee unanimously recognized that the equipment's overall performance has reached international advanced standards, with notable innovations in several areas:
1) The impeller-stator assembly features a unique design. The impeller uses a high-blade-number configuration with backward-inclined blades, providing a large circulation flow and low pressure head, ensuring sufficient slurry suspension and even distribution of ore particles. The stator is directly suspended with low damping, offering stable radial flow.
2) The double foam tank and dual push-bubble cone structure enhance operational efficiency. The inner foam tank helps push the flotation froth, ensuring timely discharge, which reduces the conveying distance and increases the thickness of the froth layer, resulting in a more stable flotation process.
3) The pre-distribution directional air distributor ensures uniform air dispersion, a rational flow path for the aerated slurry mixture, and a larger bubble surface area, significantly improving flotation efficiency.
4) The system allows for automatic control of slurry level and aeration rate, making operation convenient, stable, and efficient, with a clear energy-saving effect. Additionally, the project has enriched and improved the scaling theory of similar large flotation machines, providing a theoretical foundation and practical basis for future optimization and reliability enhancement of the entire flotation machine series.
The successful development of this equipment marks a significant milestone in China’s capability to produce super-large-scale mineral processing equipment, placing it among the world’s leading nations in this field. This achievement greatly enhances China’s R&D capacity in mining equipment and plays a crucial role in advancing mine modernization, improving resource utilization, and strengthening competitiveness in the global market.
