Large single-tank pneumatic mechanical agitation flotation machine was successfully developed

"Research on the 160M3 Large-Scale Inflatable Mechanical Agitation Flotation Machine" is a key component of the National Science and Technology Research Program under the Ministry of Science and Technology. After years of dedicated research and development, the Beijing Mining and Metallurgical Research Institute in collaboration with Jinchuan Group Co., Ltd. have successfully completed the development of the "160M3 Large Inflatable Mechanical Agitation Flotation Machine" and conducted successful industrial application tests. Recently, the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association organized a technical appraisal session for the project. Experts reviewed the relevant technical documents, listened to detailed reports, and engaged in thorough discussions. Following their assessment, the appraisal committee unanimously recognized that the equipment's overall performance has reached international advanced levels, with notable innovations in several areas: 1) The impeller-stator assembly features a unique design. The impeller is equipped with a high number of backward-inclined blades, enabling a large circulation flow with low pressure head, ensuring sufficient slurry suspension and uniform distribution of ore particles. The stator is directly suspended with low damping, providing stable radial flow. 2) The machine incorporates a dual foam tank and a dual push bubble cone structure. The inner foam tank helps push the flotation froth, ensuring timely discharge, which reduces the conveying distance and increases the thickness of the froth layer, resulting in greater stability. 3) The pre-distribution directional air distributor is a distinctive feature, allowing even air dispersion and an optimized flow path for the aerated slurry mixture. This enhances the bubble surface area and significantly improves flotation efficiency. 4) The equipment is equipped with automatic control systems for slurry level and aeration, making operation more convenient, stable, and efficient. It also delivers significant energy-saving benefits. Additionally, this achievement has enriched and improved the theory of similar scaling for large flotation machines, providing a solid theoretical foundation and practical basis for the optimization of the entire series of new flotation equipment and further enhancing its reliability. The successful development of this equipment marks a major breakthrough in China’s ability to produce super-large-scale mineral processing machinery, placing it among the world's leading nations in this field. It not only boosts the research and development capabilities of China’s mining equipment industry but also plays a crucial role in advancing the modernization of Chinese mines, improving resource utilization, and strengthening competitiveness in the global market.
