Shaanxi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. successfully manufactured China's first 900-ton class carrier equipment

Recently, a 900-ton-class transport and racking equipment developed by the China Railway Engineering Machinery Research and Design Institute Co., Ltd. and Shaanxi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Construction Machinery") made its debut in the construction of the Hefei-Nanjing High-Speed Passenger Dedicated Line in Quanjiao County, Hefei, Anhui Province. This marked a significant milestone, as it was the first time that a 32-meter, 900-ton double-track full-hole box girder was successfully erected using domestically produced equipment, filling a critical gap in China's high-speed rail infrastructure. The 900-ton transport frame system consists of two key components: the YL900 beam truck and the JQ900A bridge girder erector. These are large-scale, specialized machines designed specifically for high-speed railway construction. The YL900 beam truck is responsible for transporting massive precast concrete box girders from the beam yard to the construction site, with a single transport capacity of up to 900 tons. Meanwhile, the JQ900A bridge erector is used to lift and place these girders onto the piers, capable of handling 900-ton precast box girders with precision and efficiency. This successful implementation of the 32-meter double-track full-hole box girder erection represents a historic breakthrough for China’s railway industry. A total of 434 box girders—both 32-meter and 24-meter in size—will be installed along the entire line. The successful production and deployment of this equipment not only advanced the construction of the Hening High-Speed Railway but also provided valuable experience for future projects. It plays a crucial role in boosting the development of China’s domestic machinery industry and promoting technological self-reliance. The Hening High-Speed Railway, constructed by the China Railway Second Bureau, spans 166 kilometers, with a total investment of 4.4 billion yuan and a design speed of 200 kilometers per hour. This project highlights the country’s growing capability in building advanced railway systems and reinforces its commitment to modernizing transportation infrastructure.
