The Penglai 19-3/25-6 oilfield development project, often referred to as "Daqing Daqing," was officially designated as a national key construction project in 2005. As the largest offshore oilfield in China to date, it is expected to play a critical role in alleviating the country's growing oil supply challenges. With traditional onshore fields like the Daqing Oilfield experiencing declining output, China has been increasingly turning its attention to offshore resources to meet rising energy demands.
In recent years, the rapid pace of economic growth has significantly boosted China’s need for oil, prompting greater investment in marine hydrocarbon exploration and production. The Penglai oilfield, once fully operational, is anticipated to ease potential oil shortages and reduce the nation's reliance on foreign energy sources. To date, seven major oilfields have been identified in the Bohai Bay area, with the Penglai 19-3/25-6 field standing out as the second-largest discovery since the Daqing Oilfield. These large-scale developments account for nearly half of the current oil production in the Bohai Sea.
Located in the southern part of the Bohai Sea, the Penglai 19-3/25-6 oilfield spans an area of 50 square kilometers, with proven reserves reaching 60 million tons of petroleum. The oil deposit lies at a depth of about 20 meters below sea level, while the oil itself is buried between 900 and 1,400 meters underground. The oil layer has an average thickness of approximately 150 meters, offering advantages such as shallow burial, abundant reserves, and relatively easier extraction compared to deeper or more complex fields. This makes the Penglai oilfield a strategically important asset for China’s long-term energy security.
Honeycomb sealing can produce good sealing effect, reduce airflow loss, and improve aerodynamic efficiency. The honeycomb seal at the top of the blade also has a good dehumidification effect, which can effectively protect the blades from erosion by water vapor. Materials and dimensions can be customized according to customer requirements, while providing consulting services on product design and application.
Honeycomb gas seals are mainly used in turbine machinery such as aviation engines, gas turbines, and steam turbines, as well as chemical equipment. Seals are mainly divided into blade top seals, baffle (or stationary blade ring) seals, and shaft seals based on their position and function.
