The 2BMQ-12 air-suction membrane film-covering machine, developed by the technical team from the 7th and 25th Reconstruction Plants under the 7th Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, was successfully piloted in mid-August. According to reports, this air-suction membrane drilling machine offers four key advantages over conventional semi-precision seeding machines. First, it uses an air-suction system for single-seed placement, eliminating the need for manual seedling. Second, the on-demand film application reduces or even removes the necessity for manual soil sealing and other labor-intensive tasks. Third, the machine is equipped with a small four-wheel drip irrigation belt, which can be used as a single or double tube system, enhancing water efficiency. Lastly, by employing membrane technology, the machine ensures precise seeding directly on the film, achieving both on-demand and coverage benefits.
This advancement not only improves operational efficiency but also brings significant economic and environmental benefits. It saves approximately 2.5 kilograms of seeds per acre and reduces labor costs by around 40 yuan per acre. The machine helps save time, reduce labor, maintain soil moisture, increase yield, and lower overall production costs, making it a valuable asset for modern agriculture.
