Environmental standards and requirements for machine tool installation

To ensure the machine operates accurately and reliably, it is essential to monitor and control the environmental conditions in which it is placed.

1. Environmental Parameters:

Below are the recommended environmental conditions for the machine:

  • Temperature: Operating range: 17°C – 25°C; Transport range: 0°C – 60°C. Ideal temperature difference should be within ±2°C. The acceptable ambient range is 15°C – 40°C.
  • Humidity: At 20°C, humidity should be between 40% – 70%, with no condensation present.
  • Vibration: Vibration levels must not exceed 0.5G.

2. Installation Location:

The device should not be installed in areas exposed to radiation such as microwaves, ultraviolet light, lasers, or X-rays. To maintain machining precision and minimize temperature fluctuations around the equipment, avoid installing it in the following locations:

  • Direct sunlight
  • High humidity areas
  • Areas with large temperature variations
  • High vibration zones
  • Strong magnetic fields
  • Dusty environments

Additionally, avoid the following near the installation area:

  • Garages
  • High-traffic drive lanes
  • Pressure or stamping machines
  • Welding or arc welding equipment
  • Substations
  • High-voltage power lines
  • Dust-generating machinery

3. Foundation and Power Requirements:

The foundation where the equipment is installed must be fully compacted with no voids or loose soil. A stable and reliable power source is required that meets national standards. Temporary power sources must not be used. Proper grounding protection must be ensured for the equipment.

The installation site must also have a consistent and stable air supply. The compressed air provided must be dry and clean, meeting all relevant national specifications.

4. Electrical Power Specifications:

The power supply at the installation site must be a three-phase four-wire system. The line voltage should be 380V ± 5%. If the available voltage is 200V ± 5%, no transformer is needed when powering on the equipment. However, if the voltage is 220V, voltage regulation must be carefully monitored, ensuring that fluctuations do not exceed +5% of 220V.

5. Compressed Air Supply:

The main compressed air pipeline must include a primary filter and a dryer. The pressure should be maintained at 0.5–0.7 MPa, with a flow rate of at least 5 m³/h to meet operational requirements.
