I recently visited the Posen Fire Department, which has now become part of the MABAS Division 22 listings. It's an impressive setup with a variety of vehicles to handle different emergencies. They operate a Pierce engine and a Pierce quint, along with two ambulances, a squad vehicle, and a utility truck. What’s particularly noteworthy is that they house the MABAS Division 22 Decon unit and even a communications van for the division. I was also told about a stunning 1938 antique fire engine that they keep but haven’t showcased yet. The images you see here were generously provided by Dennis McGuire, Jr and Karl Klotz.

One of their ambulances, ready to respond to medical emergencies.
Their Pierce quint is a versatile piece of equipment, capable of performing multiple functions during operations.
It’s clear that the Posen Fire Department takes pride in its resources and readiness to serve the community. I had the chance to speak with some of the firefighters, who mentioned how they’re always looking to improve their response times and capabilities. The addition of new equipment like the Pierce quint and maintaining older models like the 1938 antique engine shows their commitment to both modernization and preserving history. It was a fascinating visit, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share these photos and insights with everyone!
