Recently, a review and acceptance meeting was held in Beijing for the special engineering research project focused on UHV AC test demonstration technology. Experts in attendance expressed confidence in the progress of the research on ultra-high voltage (UHV) technologies, noting that significant scientific and technological achievements have been made. These advancements are expected to bring substantial economic and social benefits in the long run.
Two key projects—“Harmonic Analysis on the 110 kV Side of the 1000 kV UHV AC Pilot Demonstration Substation†and “System Research on the 110 kV Side of the 1000 kV UHV AC Test Demonstration Substationâ€â€”were successfully reviewed and accepted by a panel of experts. Both were conducted by the Chinese Academy of Electric Power and represent important milestones in the development of UHV infrastructure.
It has been reported that the findings from these two research topics have already been integrated into the design and equipment procurement phases of the Jindongnan-Nanyang-Jingmen UHV test demonstration project. This not only enhances the technical foundation of the project but also ensures higher quality and more efficient engineering outcomes. The results provide a solid scientific basis for future UHV projects, supporting the continued growth of China’s power grid infrastructure and its global leadership in high-voltage transmission technology.
