Bill Friedrich recently shared some photos of recent Chicago Fire Department (CFD) vehicles. He also mentioned an interesting update: there’s another truck currently being serviced at the station, waiting to join Truck 61. This particular vehicle is identified as E-341.
I’ve included some images below to give you a better look at these impressive pieces of equipment:

*Engine 120 is a striking 2010 Spartan Gladiator/Crimson model equipped with a powerful 1,500-gallon-per-minute (GPM) pump, holding 500 gallons of water and featuring a 30-gallon foam tank. Its shop number is D-655. This image was captured by Bill Friedrich.*

*Truck 51, bearing shop number E-341, is a 2011 Spartan Gladiator/Crimson aerial ladder with a reach of 103 feet. It's mounted at the rear, making it highly efficient for various operations. Another great shot by Bill Friedrich.*

*Truck 59, with shop number E-340, is another 2011 Spartan Gladiator/Crimson model boasting a 103-foot rear-mounted aerial ladder. This vehicle is just as capable as its counterparts. Photo credit goes to Bill Friedrich.*

*Truck 62, assigned shop number E-336, is yet another 2011 Spartan Gladiator/Crimson model with a 103-foot rear-mounted aerial ladder. These trucks are truly workhorses of the department. As always, thanks to Bill Friedrich for the photography.*
It’s always exciting to see how the Chicago Fire Department continues to upgrade their fleet with state-of-the-art equipment. Each vehicle plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of the community. Keep an eye out for updates on when the new truck will be fully operational and ready to serve alongside its fellow units!
