I just noticed some updates on the website for the Chicago Fire Department’s 6th District. There’s quite a bit of new information and changes to share.
First off, Battalion 22 has been added to the site, which is a significant update. Additionally, Battalion 24 has undergone some modifications, and it looks like they’ve done a great job updating the visuals. I’m particularly interested in the new photo of Battalion 24, which really captures the essence of their equipment.
Speaking of photos, there’s a fantastic image of Engine 120. This vehicle now features a brand-new Spartan Gladiator Classic Crimson rig, which is an exciting change. It’s amazing how much of a difference the crimson color brings to the overall look of the apparatus. For comparison, there’s also a shot of Engine 120’s previous setup, which was a HME 1871 SFO Luverne model. It’s interesting to see the evolution of their fleet over time.
In other updates, Truck 42 has also received a major upgrade. The new Spartan Gladiator Crimson aerial platform is visually striking, and it clearly reflects the department’s commitment to modernizing its resources. To give you a sense of the transformation, there’s also an older photo showcasing the previous Pierce Dash model used by Truck 42.
Another notable addition is the inclusion of Ambulance 51, Ambulance 17, and Ambulance 22. These vehicles are critical for emergency response, and it’s great to see them featured prominently on the site. Each one seems to be equipped with state-of-the-art technology and design elements that enhance both functionality and safety.
Elsewhere in the district, EMS 4-5-6 has been introduced, marking another important milestone. Meanwhile, Truck 62 has seen some improvements, as has Truck 61. It’s also worth mentioning that Tower 34 has been reconfigured to display the latest E-ONE model. Even Engine 81 has received a thorough update, ensuring it remains at the forefront of firefighting capabilities.
Overall, these updates reflect the ongoing efforts of the Chicago Fire Department to maintain high standards of readiness and efficiency.
