Japan's Mitsubishi Tire Machinery Plant Relocates and Reduces Costs

In order to reduce production and management costs and increase market competitiveness, Mitsubishi Motors Japan decided to relocate its tire machinery plant from its current location, Nagasaki, to Hiroshima. The new site of Mitsubishi Tire Machinery Plant is near Mitsubishi's Food Machinery Plant and Packaging Machinery Plant in Hiroshima. Mitsubishi Corporation hopes to reduce the production and management costs by merging the three plants, and play a comprehensive benefit, thereby increasing the market's competitiveness. After the merger of the three plants, sales are expected to increase by 50% to 15 billion yen (about 125 million US dollars).
