On July 18, 2018, the Huludao Smart Grid Dispatching Control System (D5000), developed by Guodian NARI Power Grid Corporation and commissioned by Liaoning Power Grid, successfully passed the practical acceptance review organized by the State Grid Liaoning Power Dispatching Control Center. This milestone marks a significant step forward in modernizing power grid management and enhancing operational efficiency.
In recent years, as China's economy continues to grow, the demand for electricity has surged. To meet this rising demand, the government has expanded its power grid infrastructure, leading to more complex grid structures. With the increasing amount of data being collected, the need for advanced dispatching systems has become essential. The smart grid dispatching control system has emerged as a critical solution, acting as the "brain" that ensures the safe, stable, and efficient operation of the power grid.
The previous dispatching automation system in Huludao was outdated and lacked the necessary capabilities to support modern power grid operations. Recognizing this challenge, Huludao initiated research into an improved power grid control system. This project holds great practical significance, as it enhances the city's grid control capabilities and ensures the safety, stability, and quality of power supply.
In 2016, the Huludao Smart Grid Dispatching Control System (D5000) was officially launched. Throughout its implementation, Guodian NARI worked closely with Huludao Power Supply Company to continuously refine the D5000 platform and enhance its application functions. Key features such as power flow calculation and intelligent alarm systems were integrated into daily operations, significantly improving the accuracy and safety of grid management. These improvements have enhanced system performance and provided strong technical support for the reliable operation of the Huludao grid.
On July 18, a team of experts from the Liaoning Power Dispatching Control Center, along with representatives from Benxi and Jinzhou Power Supply Companies, conducted a thorough review of the Huludao Smart Grid Dispatching Control System (D5000). Based on the "Management Acceptance Standards for Dispatching Automation Systems," they evaluated each function, performance level, and supporting documentation. The expert group unanimously confirmed that the system met all practical acceptance requirements and approved its successful completion.
This achievement reflects the progress made in smart grid technology and highlights the importance of continuous innovation in power system management. It also sets a strong foundation for future developments in energy infrastructure across the region.
