US Johnson Controls expands its battery plant in Florence, Northern Kentucky



According to reports, Johnson Controls plans to invest USD 24.2 million to expand its battery plant in Florence, Northern Kentucky. After the expansion of the plant, it will add 45 jobs.

Johnson Controls intends to convert the 60,000-square-foot warehouse center of the Florentine factory into a production workshop, which is expected to be completed next spring. The Florence plant currently employs 96 employees.

The Johnson Controls Power Solutions business unit is an industry leader in the development and production of lead-acid starter batteries and lithium-ion batteries. The expansion of the Kentucky plant will help Johnson Controls continue to strengthen both technologies.
