Tianhe Group, a US auto parts supplier, announced today that it will supply electro-hydraulic power steering systems (EPHS) for light commercial vehicles launched by a number of car companies.
Tianhe electro-hydraulic power steering system can improve fuel economy and reduce carbon dioxide emissions. TRW's latest 12-volt EPHS system is a market leader.
The European Commission recently announced that the EU plans to implement more stringent emission standards. "The EPHS technology will help light commercial vehicles to meet more stringent carbon emission standards. With its reliable technical performance, there are 20 million EPHS systems currently used in the automotive market," said Charlie Cregeur, director of global steering system planning at TRW.
Headquartered in Livonia, Michigan, Tianhe employs 60,000 people in 26 countries. Tianhe’s sales in 2009 were US$11.6 billion, making it one of the world’s leading automotive component suppliers.
