On May 11, the Shenyang Municipal Government, Shenyang University of Technology, and Shenyang Economic and Technological Development Zone Administrative Committee signed a cooperation framework agreement for the construction of a public R&D platform in Shenyang Tiexi Equipment Manufacturing Industry Cluster Area. This marks Shenyang's equipment manufacturing industry as its core industry. At the ceremony, the leader of Shenyang City unveiled the “Public R&D Promotion Center in Shenyang Tiexi Equipment Manufacturing Industry Cluster Area”. National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other national ministries and leaders attended the signing ceremony. Shenyang Machine Tool Group and TBEA Shenke Group signed a project cooperation agreement with Shenyang University of Technology.

Among the 77 major products in the fields of CNC machine tools, power transmission and transformation, large-scale construction machinery, metallurgical mining, petrochemical equipment and other major national technical and equipment industries and major product areas, Tiexi District has a market share of 44 products in the domestic market. Ranked first in the industry, with 18 products listed in the top 10 in the world. The aggregation effect and scale effect of equipment manufacturing have basically taken shape.
Under the background of the rise of the industrial development plan of the Tiexi Equipment Manufacturing Industry Cluster in Shenyang to the national strategy, under the guidance of the goal of building Tiexi into an internationally competitive advanced equipment manufacturing base, Shenyang City is actively building public manufacturing and public facilities.
