Qidashan iron ore beneficiation plant is completed and put into production in 1970, after the commissioning process by the three major renovation and expansion, is now gradually improve the production process, and gradually improve metallurgical performance, stable production, technical and economic indicators improved significantly. The plant has a design scale of 8 million t/a. According to the construction time, the ore dressing plant is divided into the first phase project and the second phase project. The first phase of the project (ie, one selection) will process 20~0mm grain-level fine ore, with a design scale of 3 million t/a; the second phase (ie, second-choice) will process 75~20mm grain-level shaft furnace roasting ore with a design scale of 5 million. t/a. However, the production has not yet reached the design scale. In the best year, the whole factory processed 6.6 million tons of raw ore in 1983.
(1) Nature of ore: The Qidashan iron deposit belongs to the Anshan-type sedimentary metamorphic iron deposit, and the surface part is hematite. The deep part of the ore body gradually transforms into magnetite. The surrounding rock of the ore body is composed of phyllite, schist and mixed rock formed by chemical action.
The mineral composition in the ore is relatively simple. The useful minerals are iron minerals, mainly hematite, imaginary hematite, magnetite, and a small amount of specular iron ore, limonite, goethite and trace pyrite. . The gangue minerals are mainly quartz , followed by ordinary hornblende, tremolite , actinolite , chlorite, carbonate (iron dolomite, calcite ) minerals. The iron ore in the whole mining area is divided into three types: quartz type, tremolite type and chlorite type, of which quartz type is the main type.
The chemical composition of the ore is mainly iron and silicon, and the content of harmful elements such as sulfur and phosphorus are within the allowable range. The multi-element analysis of ore is shown in the following table:

The ore is mostly in its granular structure and irregularly metasomatic structure. The ore structure is strip-shaped, wrinkled, block-shaped, etc., of which the strip-like structure is dominant.
The grain size of the ore is a type of uneven fine particle impregnation. The maximum particle size of the iron mineral is above 1 mm, the minimum particle size is below 0.005 mm, and the average particle size is about 0.05 mm. The average grain size of quartz is about 0.085 mm, which is thicker than iron minerals. The size of iron minerals in quartz inclusions ranges from 0.003 to 0.035 mm, of which less than 0.015 mm accounts for 5 to 10% of iron minerals. When cleaning, it is strictly prohibited to flush the electric motor, electrical switch, solenoid valve and other electrical appliances with water to prevent electric shock and damage to electrical equipment.When the mixer is working, it is forbidden to stand in the discharging area.Non-operators are forbidden to enter the control room, smoking and doing things unrelated to the operation are prohibited.There is no operator in the operating room. Power must be cut off and doors and Windows must be locked before leaving.
