Nanjing Gaojing successfully tested the main propulsion system for the world's largest independent cargo tank asphalt ship

It is reported that the 37,000 DWT asphalt ship, with a length of 180 m and a ship width of 30.6 m, has a design speed of 14 kn. The ship is the world's largest independent cargo tanker designed for the world's largest asphalt supplier, Koch Industries Sargeant Marine. The shipowner has higher requirements on the fuel economy, speed and vibration of the ship. Through cooperation with domestic research institutes, Nanjing Gaojing has optimized the propulsion system and integrated ship type in many aspects, and equipped the propeller with a vortex fin energy-saving device. Nanjing High-precision design paddles have passed a series of model tests such as open water test, self-propulsion test and air bubble test. The test results meet the design requirements. During the actual trial flight, the speed exceeds the shipowner's requirements, ensuring the fuel economy and energy conservation and emission reduction requirements. The vibration of the ship's propulsion system also fully meets the ship's navigation requirements, and the whole ship runs smoothly.
