Domestic chlor-alkali market develops rapidly

In 2007, the domestic chlor-alkali industry maintained rapid growth. From January to November, cumulative output of caustic soda was 15.74 million tons, up 14.6% year-on-year; cumulative production of PVC was 8.84 million tons, up 20% year-on-year. From January to November, the accumulated export of PVC pure powder was 638,000 tons, an increase of 48% over the same period of last year; the cumulative import of pure powder was 1,018,000 tons.

While China's chlor-alkali industry is developing at a high speed, great changes have taken place in many aspects such as industrial policy, industry structure, and domestic and foreign trade. The development of the industry and enterprises is facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges, and domestic and foreign and upstream and downstream are paying special attention. In order to thoroughly and thoroughly analyze the current status of the chlor-alkali industry in a timely manner and grasp the next development situation, the China Chlor-Alkali Industry Association will hold the “China Chlor-Alkali Forum” in Sanya, Hainan from January 18 to January 19, 2008. Strategic breakthroughs, new characteristics and new opportunities for the import and export of related products in China's chlor-alkali industry were analyzed and discussed.
