Capacitive level gauge troubleshooting

Capacitance type liquid level meter is based on the principle of capacitance induction, when the height of the measuring electrode dipping in the measured medium changes, it causes the capacitance change. It can convert all kinds of level and liquid medium height changes into standard current signals and transmit them remotely to the operation control room for secondary instrument or computer device to display, alarm or automatically control.
Capacitive level meter troubleshooting:
(1) During use, if the meter has no current output, check the signal processor "+", "-- if the lead wire is loose and falling off, if the meter indicates that the head fixing screw and the fixing column are loose, and the contact is bad. The above problems should be reinforced immediately.
(2) If the indicator indicates zero, hold the metal tool, such as tweezers, screwdrivers, etc., and touch the “sensor” terminal of the signal processor. The indicator of the instrument should increase. Otherwise, it indicates that the instrument signal processor is damaged. At this point, the instrument signal processor must be replaced.
(3) If the instrument indicator is full, remove the “sensor” lead from the signal processor. If the instrument indicator is still full, the signal processor is damaged. If the indicator indicates zero, the sensor may be poorly insulated. The sensor should be replaced immediately if the insulation is not good.
(4) Check the sensor method: Remove the sensor lead from the signal processor. The resistance between the sensor lead-out line and the metal tower wall should be measured with a 500V megger or a 500-type multimeter "x10k" file, which should be greater than 10M ohms, otherwise the sensor is poorly insulated.
(5) Distinguish and eliminate interference: If the meter works normally in the laboratory and there is a certain level value indicating that the indicator value fluctuates up and down in the field, then the meter may be judged to be interfered. Electrolytic capacitors (approx. 220 microfarad capacity and withstand voltage greater than 50 volts) can be eliminated at both ends of the instrument's power cord in parallel.
(6) When the capacitance level meter fluctuates, first consider whether or not the liquid level really fluctuates. At this time, the process should be negotiated with the solution. If it is not the fluctuation of the level gauge caused by the fluctuation of the liquid level, the disturbance should be considered. Impact and grounding are good, whether there is interference source nearby, whether there is electric welding work, whether there is electric welding work, whether there is a large electrical equipment.
